5 Seconds

We had 5 seconds of independent standing today. Hurray! Molly looked like a surfer, knees slightly bent, arms out, looking all around. Finished her feat by falling forward to daddy’s arms. She was so happy!
After a stormy morning complete with tornado warnings, Gainesville brightened up to a beautiful breezy day. Molly took her first assisted-steps [...]

Fun from the Weekend

Saturday:
Long outing for Daddy and Molly, giving Mommy some time home. Molly was a little overwhelmed at Best Buy, enjoyed Publix (and all of the attention). Triggered at least one couple to start talking about having kids!
Sunday:
Church: Lots and lots of happy sounds. She was a peach. We let her sit down between us [...]

Molly’s Big Day

Molly had a pretty big day today. Involved her usual morning of napping, eating and playing mixed in with an afternoon adventure to St. Augustine.
Newsworthy items:

First visit to St. Augustine
First mashed potatoes
First fish (broiled Mahi Mahi)
Crawling-like motion with true forward progress
Came eye-to-eye with a seagull
First trip to a marina
First time on a floating dock

In other news today…

Woke up this morning to read the following in our newspaper…
The EPA was called to the Tighe family household last night after complaints of a toxic spill. One advisor, who asked to remain anonymous, told our reporters, “This…this was pretty bad. I mean, lots of folks have heard about the Exxon Valdez, or more recently [...]

Fun Things Today

Molly…
Helped us decorate the house for Christmas
Was fantastic when we went out for lunch. Ate some yogurt before our meals came. Fell asleep on the ride home, stayed asleep all the way up to the stairs, and went to bed immediately.
Had a very fun walk on campus…
